In a very rare live performance Dopplereffekt will play the second of our events.

One of the most influential artists of the past 20 years Gerald Donald/Heinrich Mueller/Rudolf Klorzeiger and To Nhan Le Thi will play at the Glue Factory.

From the electro sound of Donald’s previous band Drexciya to the contemporary classical music style of Calabi yau Space Dopplereffekt are one of the most important acts in modern music.

The duo’s influence in a local sense also cannot be understated, as Joe Muggs (Resident Advisor) explains:

“Dopplereffekt fits into the electroclash years as well as it did into ’90s techno, and remains just as current today.

The influence on the Scottish scene that birthed Rustie, Hudson Mohawke and co is well-documented—indeed, Rustie describes himself as “a big fan” and says it was “a dream come true” when Mueller remixed his track “Zig Zag”—and his way with bare, bright synth melodies can be heard throughout what is often referred to as the “neon” tendency.”

This is a performance that has to be seen.
