Creative Glasgow Member Meet Up: Civic House Tour

Thursday 30th July 2026, 2:00pm-4:30pm

Civic House, 26 Civic Street, Glasgow, G4 9RH

We are delighted to welcome the Creative Glasgow network to Civic House this July for their monthly ‘Last Thursday’ get-together! This meetup is a fantastic opportunity for folks across the city’s cultural sectors to connect, and as the home of Agile City, we can’t wait to open our doors and give this vibrant community a proper behind-the-scenes look at how we operate Civic House and The Glue Factory.

We will kick things off with tea and coffee in the Canteen, followed by a tour of our coworking spaces, a look at the future Civic Street masterplan, and a short walk to visit studio holders at The Glue Factory. As a lovely bonus, we will also be handing out free day pass trials to everyone who attends so our guests can come back and test out the space for themselves.

This event is completely free and open to all, so we look forward to filling the building with fresh ideas and community spirit!

Exhibition opening: Iman Tajik, Alena Bezushko and Nii Sackey Vanderpuye

The vibrant local arts scene was celebrated at Civic House with the opening of three exciting exhibitions by artists Iman Tajik, Alena Bezushko, and Nii Sackey Vanderpuye.

This free, drop-in event was hosted by Refugee Festival Scotland, an annual celebration that coordinates events across the country to showcase the music, dance, food, film, and ideas that enrich local communities. The exhibition provided a warm, welcoming space for the public to mingle, connect, and explore a dynamic collection spanning sculpture, video, photography, and oil painting.

Guests were invited to learn firsthand about the artists’ latest projects and the diverse perspectives behind their work while enjoying complimentary refreshments and finger foods. The showcase highlighted themes of resilience, community, and the profound cultural contributions of those who have made Scotland their home.

This inspiring event was proudly supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland, aligning with the festival’s ongoing mission to foster unity, creativity, and shared human connection.

Agile City Member Social

In June, we hosted our highly anticipated studio social for the Agile City community!

Studio holders from the Glue Factory and coworking members from Civic House came together to brainstorm ideas for our growing outdoor space. From additional seating and vibrant marketplaces to live music, our members brought fantastic inspiration to the table. We can’t wait to see these ideas come to life in the next phases of our outdoor development.

The evening was made complete with delicious bites from our neighbors at Willow Grove Cafe and drinks crafted by the Agile City team.
