Agile City Newsletter – February 2026

Hello Agile City Community!

The initial rush of January has settled, and the energy on campus has ramped up this past February.

It’s been great seeing so many of you collaborating in the common areas and making the most of the space. There’s a distinct sense of purpose in the air, and we’re thrilled to be the backdrop for your biggest projects this year.

We aren’t slowing down, either. Our calendar is filling up with opportunities to help you network, sharpen your skills, and take a breather with your fellow members.

Take a peek below to see what went on during February for us, what we have upcoming, and more special announcements!

Splitscreen by RCS

Civic House and Glue Factory served as the host venues for Split Screen from January to February. This was a pioneering project exploring the intersection of performing arts, digital innovation, and AI. Led by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and supported by the Scottish Government’s Ecosystem Fund, this initiative transforms our space into a dynamic testbed for creative experimentation.

The project brings together a powerhouse collective – including Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet, Citizens Theatre, and Techscaler – for a series of workshops designed to spark radical new collaborations. By bridging the gap between artists, tech experts, and creative entrepreneurs, Split Screen aims to redefine how performance is conceived and shared in the digital age.

We had a blast hosting this event for the past 2 months, and cannot wait to see what comes from such a unique project! Keep an eye on our blog for an upcoming further exploration into hosting this event at Agile City Campus.

GCCAN: Glasgow’s Climate Plan

GCCAN collaborated with Glasgow City Council to offer an in-person, interactive consultation on Glasgow’s Climate Plan. The session was a mix of information sharing through presentations with group activities focusing on specific areas of the plan to allow for discussion, feedback and questions. Glasgow City Council’s Sustainability Team was on hand to lead the discussion and answer questions.

The results of the session formed part of the response to the plan’s formal consultation process and were used to inform the final plan which was expected to be published in the spring.

Gomo Kimchi Workshop

Gomo Kimchi factory, situated in Glue Factory, hosted a workshop to end February with a bang! Guests learned the basics of our kimchi-making process, from brining to jarring, even taking a little field trip to Chan’s so they know what to get, where to get it, and what to look for when you make kimchi at home.

Gomo Kimchi hopes to host more events like this in the future, and as they are highly sought after, it would be best to follow them on Instagram or check out their website for further details!
