The Glass-House Community Led Design – Reconfiguring Place: Intergenerational Cities

What can bringing different generations together through place do to help improve our quality of life and create new opportunities for all of us?

Intergenerational Cities is the first event in Reconfiguring Place, the 2019/20 Glass-House WE design event series. We’ll be exploring the prominent topics that are influencing the design of places today, with a focus on improving design quality and creating more equitable places where people and communities thrive.

Join us for an evening of hands-on collaborative design activities and discussion, and bring your own experience, skills and creativity to the conversation.

Intergenerational Cities is being delivered in partnership with Civic House. This event is free, but places are limited. Please register to secure your place.

About the Reconfiguring Place series:

Using the themes of intergenerational cities, housing, high streets and town centres, we’ll be exploring ways to enable citizens as agents of change. Our events are spaces for testing collaborative models for place-making which combine social, cultural and economic activity, as part of a transformation process to support long-term sustainability.

The series will explore how our collective assets can be mobilised to support local networks and initiatives, as well as building agency and unleashing the potential of people and places.

We’ll draw together the learning, ideas and recommendations from the Reconfiguring Place series, as well as the physical outputs of our collaborative sessions, at an interactive exhibition and debate in spring 2020.
