Chamber Music Scotland is delighted to present Samhain Sound, an immersive evening of liminal music, art & film curated by award-winning composer & CMS Associate Artist Linda Buckley.

To celebrate Samhain and the first days of winter, the evening includes sets from Brìghde Chaimbeul; leading purveyor of folk experimentalism and a master of the Scottish smallpipes and Peaks Duo; (Duncan Strachan and George Smith) one half of the internationally-renowned Scottish chamber ensemble the Maxwell Quartet. Alongside an interactive sound and light Installation by acclaimed Irish composer Jonathan Nangle, whose work explores notated acoustic and electro-acoustic composition through live and spatially distributed electronics to video.

Berlin-based electronic pioneer Gudrun Gut will join acclaimed Irish composers Irene Buckley & Linda Buckley performing a live score to a screening of Murnau’s 1922 horror classic Nosferatu.
