Coorie Doon February Party Recap
We had such an amazing time at February’s Coorie Doon party – featuring food by our very own Parveen’s Canteen. This was the first birthday celebration of Coorie Doon at Civic House and it did not disappoint! Check out some of the beautiful photos taken on the night by Tiu Makkonen.
Coorie Doon is a hi-fi dance party with a varied and global music policy, inspired by David Mancuso’s Loft party tradition and the unique dancing spirit of Glasgow.
Alongside the music, dancing and delicious food there as craft corner for kids and adults alike to interact with which offered a moment of play and creative engagement.
Coorie Doon is built on the uplifting power of music and the collective joy of the dancefloor. Their main priority is to play uplifting music that gives energy and brings people together in both a welcoming and intense celebration. Rhythmic, hypnotic and psychedelic sounds are all essentials whether that’s deep spiritual jazz, ecstatic Gospel, house, disco, reggae, cumbia, psychedelic soul, afrobeat…
If you want to check out the type of music you can listen back to recordings over on our Mixcloud.
